Learn two new billiards games developed by Brandon J Rosenberg and accept the challenge to beat him at his own game! A great fundraiser supporting the North Texas Food Bank.

INSTRUCTIONS
HEAVEN OR HELL
THE THREE AMIGOS

RULES FAVORING OPPONENT-HEAVEN OR HELL

  • Upon breaking, at least ONE ball needs to travel either even to or past the two side pockets or at least one OB pocketed for play to continue. Failure… Opponent has Ball -in-Hand to pocket the lowest numbered OBs on table…AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.
  • If Player pockets 8-Ball directly or indirectly anytime during game in one of the four corner pockets, 8-ball is spotted on mark and opponent has Ball-in-Hand to pocket the next lowest numbered OBs on table and/or 8-Ball respectively. AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.
  • If 8-Ball contacts and pockets an OB, OB is spotted on mark and opponent has Ball-in-Hand to pocket the next lowest numbered OBs on table AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.
  • If 8-Ball is contacted but NOT pocketed and Cue Ball pockets an OB…OB is placed on mark and opponent has Ball-in-Hand to pocket the next lowest numbered OB on table AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.
  • If Player pockets the Cue Ball and OB in any pocket, it is a foul, OB returns to table on mark, and Opposing Player has Ball-in-Hand to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table AND RECEIVES 1-POINT FOR CUE BALL AND 1 POINT FOR EVERY OB POCKETED.
  • If Player pockets the lowest numbered OB on table into any non-called pocket, OB returns to table on mark, and play resumes with the opposing player having Ball-in-Hand to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.
  • Anytime during game if player pockets the 8-ball and Cue Ball, opponent gets 2 points. 8-Ball is placed on mark and play resumes with opponent ball in hand.
  • When player is directly attempting to pocket the 8-Ball, one of the side pockets must be called beforehand. If 8-Ball is pocketed in non-called side pocket, opponent gets 2 points. 8-Ball is placed on mark and opponent resumes play with ball in hand.
  • Pocketing Cue Ball voids instructions and opponent has Ball in Hand attempting to pocket the next lowest numbered OB on table or 8-Ball respectively AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.
  • When player misses contacting the lowest numbered OB or 8-Ball on table, Game Board Instructions are void and it’s ball in hand for opponent AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.

RULES FAVORING PLAYER-HEAVEN OR HELL

  • When player pockets an OB in called corner pocket they RECEIVE 1-POINT.
  • When Player contacts the lowest numbered OB on table FIRST, any SUBSEQUENT OB pocketed (non-called) is legal, play continues AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.
  • During the break, if player pockets 2 OB they RECEIVE 2-POINTS AND can then PROCEED TO pocket the 8 Ball into the PIT of HELL to RECEIVE 2 POINTS.
  • If 8-Ball is pocketed into the PIT of HELL on break, player RECEIVES 3-POINTS.
  • If lowest numbered OB pockets 8-ball into A called SIDE POCKET, PIT of HELL, player RECEIVES 3-POINTS and bank shot, receives 5-points.
  • Player must pocket TWO of the lowest numbered OB on table before proceeding to pocket 8-ball into the PIT of HELL. If player pockets one OB during break they RECEIVE 1-POINT, then the lowest numbered OB on table must be pocketed next to qualify pocketing the 8-ball.

THE BOARD GAME

  • When player misses shot, if cue ball stops within 12” of game board marker, player must proceed per instructions.
  • When player rolls a One, Two, or Three on Die, Player gets the EXTRA number of ATTEMPTS per die roll. After last miss, if Cue Ball stops within 12” of Board Game Marker, player follows instructions and game continues to play accordingly.
  • EXTRA TURN…player continues attempting to pocket lowest numbered OB on table or 8-Ball respectively.
  • EXTRA TURN BALL IN HAND…player continues attempting to pocket lowest numbered OB on table or 8-Ball respectively.
  • Instructions on Game Board Marker are valid only when player does not pocket an OB or 8-Ball.
  • When Cue Ball stops at the arch opening of a pocket, Cue Ball is neutral and play continues.
  • When player pockets TWO CONSECUTIVE lowest numbered OB on table and does not pocket 8-ball on next shot, opponent must pocket the next two lowest numbered OB remaining on table in order to pocket the 8-ball. Exception to this rule if Game Board Marker gives first player EXTRA TURN, ROLL DIE, EXTRA TURN BALL-IN-HAND, OR FREE SHOT AT 8-BALL then play continues with first player attempting to pocket 8-Ball.
  • Play resumes with opponent attempting to pocket the next two lowest numbered OBs on table if first player doesn’t pocket 8-Ball.

FREE SHOT AT 8 BALL

  • Free Shot at 8-Ball voids any roll die number player may have. If player misses making contact with 8-ball, opponent receives 1-point and has ball in hand.

ROLL DIE BONUS

  • If player rolls FOUR, FIVE or SIX on die they get One Free Shot at the 8-Ball.
  • 3-pointS for pocketing in called side pocket, and 5-points for banking into called side pocket. If player misses, opponent receives 1-point and play resumes with opponent.

THE THREE AMIGOS

RACKING Using the 9-Ball Rack, Line up in a Bow-Tie Fashion, with the 7, 8, and 9 OB’s in a straight-line center of rack. OB’s 1 and 2 are RIGHT of 7 ball, and OB’s 5 and 6 are LEFT of 7 ball. OB 4 is left of 8 ball, and OB 5 is right of 8 ball.

RULES FAVORING OPPONENT Upon breaking, at least ONE ball needs to travel past the two side pockets (The Holy Church), or at least one OB 1-6 needs to be pocketed in any corner pocket for play to continue. Failure…Opponent has Ball-in-Hand to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table. AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.

Upon Breaking…if ANY of the OB’s ,1-6 are pocketed in either side pocket (The Holy Church) it is a foul and OB is returned to table and play resumes with opponent ball-in-hand attempting to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table. AND RECEIVES 1-POINT for each OB pocketed in side pocket. *Note if player also pockets any of The Three Amigos in either side pocket on break, they get 3-points, ball stays in pocket, and opponent resumes play.

Any Time During Game…pocketing any of the Three Amigos (7, 8, 9) into ANY corner pocket is a foul and OB is spotted on marker and play resumes with opponent ball-in-hand to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table. AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.

Anytime during game…if any of The Three Amigos are pocketed into either side pocket AND cue ball is pocketed into ANY pocket…OB is placed on marker and Opponent gets 1 point and play resumes with opponent with ball-in-hand attempting to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table.

Pocketing Cue Ball voids Game Board Marker instructions and opponent has Ball in Hand attempting to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table. AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.

When player misses contacting lowest numbered OB on table, Game Board Marker instructions are void and it’s Ball in Hand for opponent. AND RECEIVES 1-POINT.

RULES FAVORING PLAYER

WHEN POCKETING AN OB (1-6 IN CALLED CORNER POCKET, PLAYER RECEIVES 1-POINT

IF OB 7, 8, or 9 are pocketed on break into either side pocket, player or team RECEIVES THREE-POINTS and play continues attempting to pocket the other two remaining Amigos.

Failure…play resumes with opponent attempting to pocket the lowest numbered OB on table.

When the lowest numbered OB on table is contacted FIRST, and any SUBSEQUENT OB pocketed (non-called corner pocket) is legal and play continues. AND PLAYER RECEIVES 1-POINT.

IF THE LOWEST NUMBERED OB POCKETS in sequence (7, 8, 9) of THE THREE AMIGOS IN CALLED SIDE POCKET, PLAYER RECEIVES 3-POINTS, and bank shot receives 5-points.

ROLL DIE BONUS

  • If player rolls FOUR, FIVE or SIX on die they get One Free Shot at the lowest numbered Amigo on table.
  • 3-points for pocketing in called side pocket, and 5-points for banking into called side pocket. If player misses, opponent receives 1-point and play resumes with opponent.
